Why this work matters.
Every case begins with a person — not a file number.
Yohana Valdez is an immigration and family law attorney dedicated to helping individuals and families build safer, more secure futures. What makes Yohana's approach unique is the way she blends strategic legal thinking with authentic human connection. Besides being known for consistently delivering results, Yohana is recognized for her honesty and welcoming nature — taking time to listen, explain, and make sure her clients feel respected and understood.
Before launching her private practice, Yohana served as a managing attorney with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), where she represented unaccompanied children seeking legal protection and stability. Her work has taken her from courtrooms to City Hall and from migrant shelters to community centers with a single purpose: uplifting vulnerable voices and defending human rights with integrity, courage, and expertise.
Yohana earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, and holds a Master's degree in Francophone Studies from UCLA. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and values cultural competency and accessibility in her practice. She is licensed to practice law in Washington State and proudly serves clients across greater Seattle and across Washington.
